Notre Dame had a habit of looking menacing when surrounded by fog. And, ironically, tonight was no different. The swathing bath of silver clouds that swirled around the street floor of Paris spoke ill tidings for whomever decided to tred the cobbled streets. Behind the deep clouds a cresent moon shone, brightly enough to be noticed, but not bright enough to illuminate the dark world below. And so the city was unwatched, and for Daraxyl this worked just fine.
He wore a long pinestripe suit, and a matching top hat pointed high into the sky, making him seem even taller than he already was. His shoes clipped the ground crisply and elegantly, and he moved with purpose and determination. His breath caused vapour to appear around his face, but soon evaporated into the night behind him.
It wasn't a good idea to out at night, especially as a Grigori, and Daraxyl knew this. But he had to be somewhere, and he was willing to risk the Parisian darkness for it. His eyes glowed with a golden hue as he used his 3rd eye to guide his way through the back alleys.
Arriving at the entrance of Notre Dame, he paused, letting the hue fade from his eyes. His shook his cold hands, but when the cold permeated him even then, he snapped them together and let a small blue flame run over his fingers. Not for long though, he trod up the steps leading to the great cathedrals entrance.
"An angel in a church," he muttered to himself, "Now thats what i might call irony."

Tsube had always marvelled at the prevalence of churches outside of his own country, seeing as Christianity had always been forced underground at home. Notre Dame was something he'd always wanted to see, and now he finally had the chance.
He knelt in the pews, muttering softly in Latin- people always marvelled at his knowledge of the dead language. A few stares came his way due to the long, slightly battered trenchcoat he wore. He wondered how they'd react if they saw exactly what was he was hiding under there. In a place like this, perhaps they wouldn't be afraid of him; angels were the messengers of God after all. They wouldn't know that he was just a fake; a man-made imitation of that which belonged to the Lord.

The heat hit him like a wave of water, the smell of incense strong in his nostrils. Sighing outwards, Daraxyl looked around. From his vague vision he could pick up his way around the side of the pews, and he saw that a few night visitors had decided to pay homage to their faith. He rolled his eyes, and closed them. Great... he thought witnesses...
He removed his top hat and tucked it under his arm, and sat at the far end of a pew. His height made him conspicuous, so he instantly got un-easy. Slowing down his breathing, he reached into his breast pocket and felt the cold steel of the revolver. He reopened his eyes. Calm. He needed to be calm to do this. The target would be here in 7 minutes, and then this could all be over.
He looked up at the ceiling, in a vain effort for some sort of divine inspiration. Why was he here? He snorted, and leant forwards, listening in on the mutterings of the people around him. Damn Humans. Always muttering.

Tsube noted the man's entrance and it made him nervous. This guy looked shifty, dangerous. The kind of person who he would go miles out of his way to avoid back home. Still, if he left now the guy might think he was on to... well, whatever he was up to. People who were up to things could turn nasty... he decided it was best to act like he hadn't seen.

Daraxyl shifted uncomfortably. He wanted to light up a cigarette, but decided that such an action in this building would attract too much attention. He scratched the back of his neck, for the wig he had to wear irritated him to no end. How he wished to stretch his wings and fly out into the night, to feel free instead of trapped to this concrete fortress. He closed his eyes, and began to hum a old latin song; "media nox obscura nox crudelitas animarum campana sonat duo decies..."
[Midnight, dark night Cruelty of souls A bell sounds twenty times]
He was back there. Azraith was helping him along the pristine corridor as his legs had lost all strength, and he could feel his brother fighting the instincts that willed him to fight these humans, these MONSTERS. No wonder, he could feel the blood drip from the places where the IV drips had been ripped out of him. They ran around a corner, and Daraxyl gasped. There stood Genesis, in all his golden glory, eyes closed, arms moving like a poet, painting the walls with the bullets that were aimed at him. He could feel that raw power, and saw Azraith shout something incomprehensible, before he slipped back into unconsciousness...
He opened his eyes sharply, and took a sharp intake of breath. A bead of sweat made his way down his forehead, and trickled down t his chin before Daraxyl remembered to wipe it away. He tried to mutter the song again, but the tune was lost.

Okay, so the guy was another latin speaker? Tsube mentally shook himself, trying to block thoughts of him out of his mind. He wished the scientists hadn't augmented his hearing as well as his body. He fought the urge to shuffle his wings around; they were getting cramped from holding them so tight against his back. He managed to stop all but a tiny twitch which he desperately hoped nobody saw.

Something moved in the corner of Daraxyls vision, and he twitched his head slightly to the left. Narrowing his eyes on the few people in front of him, he tried to locate the source of what he had seen, before realising that he was getting paranoid. Of course they would move, THEY'RE ALIVE. He shouldn't be worried. Glancing at his watch, he sat straight up. The man should be here any time now...
Biting his lip, he subconsciously began rubbing his fingers together, letting blue sparks fly. As soon as this was over he could get the money and get out. Simple as that. He closed his, and felt his way around the hall. Not too wide, but high enough to fly if it needed to be. The smell of insence was beginning to get to him now, and he fidgeted uncomfortably.
And as if on cure, a priest walked out from an alcove. Daraxyl perked up: There he was.

Tsube twitched again and attempted to glare at his own wings without turning his head. Stupid things. He spotted the sparks out of the corner of his eye and hunched down, hoping those weren't gonna get directed at him. Obviously the guy wasn't going to be interested in a street rat like him.

The priest walked with dignified calm to a room at the far end of the hall. Daraxyl grinned, cracked his neck and stood up. He began to follow the priest. As he passed a street urchin wearing a trench-coat he looked down, and flashed a fanged grin and a wink. He then turned his head, eyes serious. This was the moment.
The priests room was colder than the actual church, which made Daraxyl feel a little more comfortable. He fingered the revolver in his pocket and looked around the small room. The man wasn't there. Slowly he stepped into the centre of the room.
"Stop right there," a voice commanded from behind him. Daraxyl rolled his eyes, before turning around. Stupid... he thought. 25%. The priest was holding a cheap bolt pistol, and was aiming it at the assailants chest. "I know why you're here," the priest sneered, "I can smell your evil, you pawn of Satan..."
Daraxyl merely gave a sweet smile, and said nothing. In his pocket, his fist turned an ugly grey colour. 50%...
The Preist smiled manically. "I knew they would send you, but you were too cocky. You won't kill me!" He waved the gun, licking his lips, and stepped backwards, locking the door.
75%.
The shot wasn't muffled. It reverberated around the room, ringing out like the crack of a giant whip. Daraxyl crumpled over, closing his eyes. The priest chuckled to himself.
"My child, this is a house of GOD!" The Priest laughed, "Did you really think you could harm me here???"

Tsube had followed him, confused and curious about that wink. Did he know, had he seen? He had hidden himself well, as he had taught himself to. So he saw, or at least heard, everything. That a priest would shoot someone! It was unthinkable to him, yet it seemed that was what had happened.

"Your god?"
Daraxyl chuckled to himself. This was just too good...
"Your GOD?"
He stood up, and tore open the top part his shirt for the priest to see, eyes ablaze with a hellsih fury. His chest was riddled with scars, but its colour had shifted to an evil looking grey smudge. The bullet was SMOLDERING away when Daraxyl picked it out, and revealed that it had failed to even pierce his skin.
The priest fired again. And again. Each time Daraxyl winced, but never stopped walking towards him. They just bounced off. "Those bullets won't hurt me," he gloated, grinning wildly, "And as much as your God goes..." he picked up the priest by the throat, and held his hand up in the light. It began to change, becoming thinner and more blade like, as well as beginning to reflect the light.
Daraxyl looked the priest in the eyes, seeing the fear there. "Your god fled as soon as I walked through those doors," he declared quietly, before stabbing the priest through the chest with his fist.

Tsube was still listening, frozen in place. He tried to force himself to move, to run, anything, but he failed. Of course, he was still hidden, but it wouldn't do him much good if that man... if that was indeed what he was, left the room and looked the wrong way. There hadn't been many good places to conceal oneself, and he had a horrible feeling that he was going to die very shortly...

Blood had a tendancy to get everywhere. It spittled and spured from the priests lifeless chest, and Daraxyl tried to shake it off of his hand while it returned to its normal colour, but it merely succeeded in spreading it all over his clothes. Great. With his foot he pushed the priest to one side with great disdain, closed his eyes, slowing down his breathing again. Calm and collected, calm and collected. All he needed to do was walk out and get into the night, and then he could fly away.
Nodding, he unlocked the door and walked out of the room. He was going to to turn right, but he sniffed. Something amongst the incense reeked. Something...like fear. Shit. Someone had seen him. His eyes turned a golden colour, and the church swirled in his vision. He needed to make sure there were no witnesses, otherwise his entire cover would be blown.
Stepping slowly, he put his op hat on his head and held both hands in front of him. 25%...
"If you come out now," he called out softly, "It'll save us alot of trouble." He was far enough from the main hall to quietly deal with any sort of problem, he just needed to make sure there was no screaming. Quick, that would be how he would do it...

No way. He hadn't even looked and he'd known he was here... Tsube saw no other choice, he just hoped that he would live to see the sunrise. He slunk from his hiding place, shoulders squared and legs braced, ready to run. Not fly; he was far too slow and weak to get very far. Not that there was very much room to fly, or even much room to run. That didn't bother him, he'd been running away from things his whole life and he'd gotten quite good at it.
His wings twitched under his coat and something told him that this time there would be no running.

Daraxyl let out a small sigh. This was wasting his time. He raised his hands in-front of his eyes and muttered a small verse in a language he did not understand nor remember. When he lowered his hands his eyes glowed with a golden aura.
The Church faded in and out of focus, and colors became sharper and more prominent. The energy of all living things burned bright like a fire in a night, and it only too a short amount of time for him to focus it down. He slowly turned his head and faced in the direction of the figure cowering in the corner. Taking slow, deliberate steps, he pulled out his revolver and looked dow through his nose. "Found ya..." he whispered deliberately.
