(-.- he wasn't cowering) Tsube backed away, eyes darting for an escape route. No good... looks like he would have to fly after all, but he could never outrun a bullet, no way. Nonetheless, better to try than to die. He shrugged his coat away, revealing snowy white wings.

(sorry T-T) Daraxyl stopped in his footsteps. His mouth dropped ajar, and his eyes widened. The gun in his hand began to shake, before it fell to the ground with a large thud.
"Where..." he whispered, hoarse, "Did you get those?"
Could it be? Did they really manage to use his blood, to create...this? Or was he being paranoid...

"What does it matter to you?" Tsube's heart was pounding, but he was relieved nonetheless. Looked like he wasn't going to die right this instant. Stalling seemed like a good idea though...

"WHERE! DID YOU GET! YOUR WINGS???!!!!" Daraxyl exploded. The rage was incredible, and his voice echoed outside the church. He heard voices, alarmed humans, but he didn't care. His hands glowed with blue fire and his jacket exploded in a flurry of white wings. Their red tips brushed the flames of the candles, singing their delicate structure. Barechested in the hall, he faced the boy, and studied him. He felt his eyes betray him, the fear and shame he felt was too strong to contain.

NOW Tsube cowered. "I'm... I'm just an experiment, these scientists, they gave them to me. Some kind of bird hybrid, that's all I am." The unheard 'please don't hurt me' hung in the air as he fought the urge to run.

Daraxyl faltered. "A...bird?" he replied, slowly. He walke dup tot he boy, and placed his hands on the side of his head. Leaning closer, he looked the boy in the eyes. "Listen," he commanded, "You never saw me. You were never here. I. Do Not. Exist."
He looked upwards, and took his hands off the boy. Touching the brim of his top hat, he flapped his wings and swooped upwards, smashing through he glass of the cathedral and into the night.

Tsube stared after him. "Fine by me." He muttered, laying a hand on his chest as if to make sure his heart wasn't going to smash through his ribs and hurl itself to freedom.

In the dark night Daraxyl flew high, leaving the slow flickering of Paris behind him. Higher he flew, up into the cold night sky, feeling the moist whisps of air brush against his bare chest. Higher and higher, not stopping, until he looked up at the silver moon. It shone done upon him, illuminating his skin, showing every rivet and gash, every burn and scrape. He closed his eyes and flapped his wings, nce, twice, three times.
He was out, he could get away now. But, that boy...he would be associated with the attack and...No, it wasn't his problem.
He hung there for a while, hearing the sirens begin to close in towards the cathedral...

Tsube had scarpered as soon as he'd gotten the chance. Luckily he'd at least remembered to put his coat back on; the wings might've attracted some attention he would rather do without. That was the first thing you learned as a street kid, you survived longer if you didn't draw attention to yourself, especially if you were small and weak as he'd always been. He hadn't run from the scene, just snuck out, hiding whenever someone had come near him. He managed to get away unmolested and soon found himself a few streets away from the great cathedral, his thoughts focused on the winged man who had attacked him. He had seemed rather shocked and angry about Tsube's wings, and he had done some freaky stuff... maybe he was a real angel, instead of just a fake like Tsube.

Damn it all, He thought, folding his wings and beginning to fall back to the ground. Cruel? Yes. Sadistic? Yes. Vengeful? Yes. But he wasn't going to let an innocent take the blame for his actions. He fell, the ground racing towards him, until above a short set of apartments he opened his wings wide, descending slowly. Landing, he shivered. Damn Cold...

Tsube pulled his coat closer around him and shivered- it was good for more than just covering his wings after all. It was tempting to just find somewhere out of the wind and curl up, but he knew it was probably a good idea to get as far away as possible from the cathedral before stopping. Besides, if he walked he'd stay warmer.

He paced around the streets, ducking behind dumpsters as police stormed towards the cathedral. The commotion was impressive, but the timing seemed a little off. Maybe the Priest had called for help before he had encountered the assassin...but never mind, what was done was done. He needed to find the boy, but more ideally he needed to find a way of hiding these accursed wings. Keeping to the shadows, he opened his third eye to make some sense of the blurred darkness, and tried to find the boy amongst those swirling white lights.
When the police had passed he stepped out into the street, and under a lamp light he looked around, trying to recognise one of the figures.

Tsube could have been well away, but curiosity had stopped him before he'd gone half a mile. That would be enough, surely. He found a way up onto the roof of one of the nearby buildings and hunkered down up there. The view of the city was quite spectacular, especially at night, even from a fairly low building like this one.

"Hey, you there!"
The cry rang across the alleyway. Damn it all cursed Daraxyl, before starting to run, his wings hitched up like an over-glorified back back. As they brushed through the night they let off a soft 'wooshing' noise. Ducking into an alley way, he had ran for about 40 seconds before crunching over. What a un-professional means of transporting ones self. He could fly, but he didn't want to be seen, and there were sure to be special operatives, his luck pretty much ensured it.
Leaning against a dumpster, he caught his breath and stretched his shoulder. It would be alot easier if he found a jacket of some sort, but for now fire would have to warm his body. Conjuring up a small flame in his hand, he let it fire across up his arm, across his neck and down his other arm. He rubbed his head, sliding off his wig to reveal his shoulder length silver hair. Yeah it was risky, but he just didn't feel like hiding. So...tasteless.
But it was at this moment that he got the strangest feeling that he was being watched.

Tsube hadn't realised there was anyone below him until he saw the glow from the fire. He was sure he was safe up here- most people didn't ever bother to look up in the city. Keeping low, he crept to the edge of the building to investigate. Better to find out now if there was a threat than when it was too late.
Everyone looks different from above, and with the hair change, Tsube didn't recognise the man from before right away. The wings were a bit of a giveaway though. He swallowed a gasp and ducked back from the edge of the building. The guy had let him live once but there was no reason he'd do it again.
