Evan didn;t say anything. a man walked up to them, glaring at Nami. "This looks like trouble...." Zach muttered.

Nami blinked and turned her head, seeing the man glaring at her. She met his eyes. "Excuse me sir but there is no reason to glare at me like that... Would you mind either explaining why you are or just leaving, please?"

the man suddenly charged Nami. Just before he tackled her, Evan took the blow, falling to the ground. The man was on top of him. Four vines came from Evan's vest and strangled the man. The man quickly cut the vines and closed his fingers around Evan's throat.

Nami drew a dagger and bounced, hoping to land a slicing blow along the man's back. "Let Evan go now! We did nothing to provoke you!" Damn it...why is this guy attacking us? ...More specifically why Evan?

the man grunted in pain and stood up. "I was aiming for you" He said, the lookn in his eyes was pure lust. Evan drew his dagger and quickly slit the mans throat. "Sorry Nami.. It had to be done..."

She snarled at the dead man and then nodded, putting away her dagger. "It's okay Evan..." Nami paused then offered a hand to help him up after she shoved the dead body off of him. "If you hadn't, I would have. Thank you."

She nodded. "Good idea." Nami continued to lead the way until something registered. "Hey Evan...if you've never been here how did you guess there's a city near here? Just a lucky guess?" Or maybe more? she added in her mind.

A bright red blush spread across her cheeks and she turned her face to hide it from him. "Yeah I guess... Maybe I'm the lucky one. After all you saved me from that jerk."

Evan smiled, he blushed as well. He didn;t mean to sAY that. A few minutes later, they were at the edge of the city. Evan';s hand creeped towards hers.

Nami didn't pull her hand away. She tangled her fingers with his and smiled slightly. "Umm...you do know we just met, right?" she asked, nervously. However it was a kind of nervous like a girl on her first date or around a boy she liked, not on guard.

She smiled. "Well... I'm glad we have something in common then, even if unsure of what." Nami's mind flicked to the crack on her lower back and she bit her lip absentmindedly, hoping he wouldn't notice it at any point.
