Good... nice to have that settled.. sort of.
He got up, slung his bag over his shoulder again, checked his 'waistband' to work out a little kink in his tail, and lead them back out into the open.
"... I.. got around town a little this morning, and I picked up some rumours about gates... That allow travel from one world to another, like what you went through. I got lucky, I heard from a friend of a friend of some guy who went through one earlier today, and then hurried back before he got cast away. That door's still around, apparently, closeby."

"Well then! lets go.," Jude said, smiling. It looked... Strange on his face. Like it was a rare occurance.

The demon noticed it, and the effect was indeed a little weird. It sparked a rather giddy smile on his own face in return. He supposed it only meant he needed to smile more often.
"Let's." he nodded, and headed out with him.
Not long after that, he cut his deft march down to a calmer, controlled pace, looking around with a keen eye once they came out of the city borders into the foggy fields outside. His ears twitched under his hair, intenton any disturbed sound, his sharp sight taking in the still environment.
"...there." he hushed after a while, motioning at a spot somewhere narrowly off the path. There was nothing there but dew-laced grass and mist at first sight, but a set of good senses could just feel something vaguely off about that very spot, as if there was a tunnel hidden somewhere in plain sight.

Jude did not have such keen senses. As a loan agent, he needed to know how to kill, and count money very quickly. "What about it?" He asked. "Looks more like a field than a way home...."

What a job description.
Stint grinned, and pulled him off the path, into the wet grass and towards that invisible tunnel. With a strange feeling rushing through his veins as he felt himself entering that tunnel-yet-not, the demon pulled on, aware of the shifting realms. A short distance away from them, a plain, old lacquered door appeared out of the fog, standing there as if it was the most common place in Maerinn for a door to be located at.

"Thats not stange or anything..." Jude said sarcastically. He didn;t like the look of this.

"No stranger than what brought you here to begin with." Stint said placidly, walking towards the door in a calm stride. "This is exactly what I was looking for.. the door that will help us get to your home world. Are you coming?" he looked at him over his shoulder with a vivid smile.

Jude smiled. "Why of course. Lets go." He said.

And so, Jude and Stint left Maerinn behind. For Jude it was a trip back home, but for the demon this was a leap into a new life. I wonder how he'll fare.
