A Wandering Wonder

[Nami]

She nodded, still holding his hand. "Fine with me... I told you, I'm not picky." Nami pulled her hair back with her free hand into a pink ponytail. "Spicy food it is, then."

they walked in and were quickly seated. Once they ate, they walked into the library. "So, should we jsut look for a book on species?"

[Nami]

She nodded. "I suppose so... you look for that and maybe I'll look for something on races? I don't know which one they would be filed under. It's kind of a thin line between person and beast due to the whole outer shell thing."

"I guess." Evan said., leaving to go look, a few minutes later, he found a book which had the information he needed., "Nami!" He whispered. "Nami1 I think I found it!"

[Nami]

Nami turned her head, the flimsy tie falling out of her hair as she did. It fell to the ground soundlessly and she ignored it as she pushed her pink locks from her face and came over to his side. "You did? Are you sure?" she questioned, looking over the book in his hands.

"Uh yeah, right here: The Mitè are a sort of one-time shape shifter. the are a rare occurrence and are born to any other sort of species' parents if the mother gets mitè blood (In human or beast form) into her bloodstream during pregnancy. Another way to become a Mitè is if a person, who is not pregnant, gets the mitè blood into their bloodstream, there is a low, but possible, chance to become a mitè themselves. There is a risk of death, but most of the time it just does nothing. Thier aging structure also slows down. a lot. the Mitè usually live to about 2000 years if they end up being 'released' (If they don;t kill themselves or get killed through their madness). If the mitè is not 'released' thier age structure does not change.


The mitè have a spiderweb crack somewhere on their body (shoulder, neck, back, chest W/e) and if a weapon, or something large enough to extend the crack, is plunged into this crack, the shell of the Mitè, in other words the person, falls away and the beast is released. the beast may be anything from a worm to a dragon. the persons personality is reflective of the beast inside of them. Usually the change is immense and makes the Mitè go insane once in beast form. They are still sentient. there are two ways for a mitè to change back to their original form (Human, Daemon, Angel w/e)
1: very powerful mage.
2. covering themselves in an item of their creatures natural habitat. For example: A serpent from the desert would have to cover itself in sand, a dragon in w/e it's breath weapon is. A wolf in leaves/grasses or what have you, a serpent from the forest in vines/leaves or waht have you. you get the idea."
Evan read, "Finally1" He shouted, a loud "SHHH!!!!!!!!" coming from the other side of the bookcase.

[Nami]

She winced. "Shh...Evan it IS a library, I remind you." Nami read over the description. "So we're some kind of creatures within an outer shell and the crack is the weakpoint, just as Mum told me... Wonder what I am really?"

"I don't know. But judging by how it sayas that we usually go insane... I dont really want to know..."

[Nami]

"Yeah I suppose... I wouldn't want to end up hurting somebody. Knowledge at that price isn't really worth it at all." Nami agreed. Perhaps something to do with water? I seem too captivated by it...

"We'll see when the times comes..." Evan said. "So, to the beach?"

[Nami]

"Yes, I guess we will find out when the time comes to do so..." She paused and then nodded. Nami smiled at the thought of the waves. "To the beach."

after leaving town, they were quickly at the beach. Evan kissed her. "It's so nice to knwo hat we are." He said.

[Nami]

She nodded. "Yeah... I've known for a while but I never knew so much about it. My Mum was apparently attacked by one, hence how the blood got into her system. She lived but I was born one instead."

"Oh. I don;t know how I got it." Evan said, shrugging. "So, tell me about yourself." He said, sitting down.

[Nami]

Hearing the question she thought. "Umm...well what do you want to know? There isn't really all that much to tell so ask away. When you run out of questions or I run out of answers we can shift the subject. Does that sound fair?"
