Fang removed his katanas from his back, setting them down within easy reach from where he sat. Lucky he saw so well in the dark really.

a couple of hours later, there was a squishing of mud behind Fang, signyfying Evan walking over. "I'll take over now."

about an hbour later, there was a 'bump' under the table. Evan cxontinued to keep watch, but didn't see anything.

Fang muttered something in his sleep and gripped the sword beside him.

Evan looked over. "Better not wake him..." he muttered before looking away again.
A snake head popped out of the mud, it was about half a foot thick. It came out and statrted to wrap around Fang.

Fang's eyes snapped open and he lashed out at the snake with his sword with a frightened yell. "What the fuck!?"

Evan snapped around "What is it- Oh shit.. forgot about those." Evan said "There are snakes in the mudlands. not common, but not rare either. do you plan on getting anymore sleep? we can get a headstart"
